I hate ads and I don't want to add even a single one to the mess that is already out there. This site has no banners, pop-ups or any other advertisements. No scripts or active-x controls. Site has clean and simple layout suitable for devices with limited resources. Unicode (UTF8) encoding is used for Russian characters. Site has no third-party counters or popularity meeters to trace your visits.
I do collect information about visitors. Basically, all information that your browser sends to this site is logged and analyzed. It helps me organize the site, makes it better indexed by the search engines. I keep this informaiton for myself only, and I will never willingly disclose it to third parties.
I don't have any time to test this site for browsers other than Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) of the latest version. However, I don't have any intention to make it broken in other browsers. Simple layout of pages, absence of scripts and use of best practices makes me believe that it looks quite well in many of them including lynx.

Being non-commercial, this site is hosted on a low bandwidth line without any uptime guarantees. Although I spend efforts to keep it up, outages do happen. MP3 is typically used to refer to an audio file encoded using MPEG 1 Layer 3 technology. It is an ISO standard and is widely used in communications nowadays. This site has been using MPEG 1 Layer 3 encoding since the beginning when the format didn't have as much adoption and software was very hard to find.
This web site came into existence March 31, 1996 and was first hosted on kenga.ru by Asy Patrysheva. Original content included only a few pages providing information and photographs of my friends and myself (original content preserved). Then web site moved a few times before it got its current address and self hosting. Domain name vasilevsky.com was registered on June 12, 2000.
